Orlin Milchev - Atila was born in 1987 in Sofia. He graduated from Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in 2016 with a degree in Film and Television Directing in the class of Acad. Lyudmil Staykov.
His graduation film Dobri won the award for Best Short Film at the Early Bird Film Festival, as well as being selected for numerous international forums.
In 2017, he completed a master class in film directing at the International Filmmaking Academy in Italy under the guidance of Béla Tarr.
His debut feature film The Art of Falling (2022) received the Grand Prize “Vasil Gendov” for Best Film from the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers, the Debut Award at the Golden Rose Film Festival, and the Audience Award at the Sofia International Film Festival.
His short film Chocolate (2024) was awarded Best Short Film by the Sofia International Film Festival and the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers.
