We are proud to announce that the National Film Centre (NFC) will support Sofia Short Fest, a festival dedicated entirely to Bulgarian short cinema.
The support of NFC is not only an institutional recognition of the importance of the festival, but also an important step towards building a sustainable platform for the short form in the cinema arts. Thanks to this partnership, Sofia Short Fest will be able to realise a rich programme of competitive screenings, thematic panels, meetings between professionals, as well as events aimed at new audiences, including children, young filmmakers and filmmakers in development.
The Sofia Short Fest will take place between 13 and 15 June 2025 in various locations across Sofia, from iconic cinemas such as Odeon, Lumiere and Vlajkova to more informal spaces such as the Bezkray bar and the Central Halls stage.
