Sofia Short Fest presents the premiere of Bridge of Signs - a documentary by Georgi Genchev that explores communication beyond sound and touches the viewer with unexpected tenderness.
The story follows the student Sava as he conducts university research on the deaf community. What begins as an academic project gradually turns into a personal transformation when he meets Gabi, a participant in the study, to whom he develops a strong emotional connection. Their world is silent but full of feeling and meaning.
The film is not only about the challenges of communication between different realities, but also about the possibility of a love that needs no words to be understood.
With a strong visual presence, sincere narration, and carefully constructed emotional dynamics, Georgi Genchev creates a 36-minute film that touches the heart and leaves a lasting impression. This is cinema that speaks to the silence and listens with the eyes.
